Amy Winehouse’s Net Worth at Time of Death

Despite being worth nearly £10 million in 2008 (roughly $14 million U.S. dollars), the troubled singer’s estate was only a fraction of that at the time of her tragic death.

Amy Winehouse’s net worth declined significantly after 2008 as she battled inner demons, endured personal turmoil and made some faulty business decisions.

Her fortune was valued at a tick over £2 million when she died, or roughly $2.8 million U.S. dollars.

An insider close to Winehouse said, “Even though Amy spent thousands on drink, drugs and hangers-on, she was still a rich young woman. Had she beaten her issues with drink, she would almost certainly have lived a worry-free and comfortable life. It is sad that having beaten drugs, she never got a chance to enjoy the money she worked so hard to produce.”

Winehouse joins an unfortunate list of musicians who died way before their prime.
