MIT professor Kevin Lynch attached a small camera to the dashboard of his car back in 1958, and filmed an entire day’s worth of driving around the city of Boston. He has released his footage as a stunning time-lapse video that awesomely captures the city from over half a century ago.
Lynch produced the film as part of his studies into the “theory of city form and human perceptions of the city,” according to the video.
