Great story out of the UK…
A 7 year old girl named Charlotte suffered a brain hemorrhage last April and had been in a coma for a week, during which she had two surgeries. Doctors did all they could but warned the family it was time to say their final goodbyes.
Charlotte’s mom, Leila Neve, climbed into the hospital bed to say goodbye with one last cuddle. While lying there, Charlotte’s favorite song, Adele‘s Rolling In The Deep came on the radio. Charlotte and her mom had often sang that song together and Leila began to sing it as she held her daughter.
The 7 year old smiled. Doctors called it a miracle. The nurses were “astounded”, as this was the first reaction of any kind since the brain hemorrhage. “Keep singing,” they told mom, and sing she did. They put the song on repeat and less than two days later, Charlotte was speaking and had even gotten up from her bed.
(You’ve gotta check out a video of little Charlotte singing along to the song that might have saved her life posted to her Facebook Group.)
Charlotte is back in school part-time and taking dance classes, despite suffering from memory loss and partial sight impairment.
A proud and grateful mom called her daughter, “determined and brave.” Indeed.
That, my friends, is The Good News…
