The July 3rd Aerosmith concert in Bristow, Virginia has been canceled tonight due to doctor’s orders to Steven Tyler, advising the singer to “refrain from performing to provide vocal rest.”
The show was re-scheduled for August 12th. However, fans here in New England are a bit worried that the Bad Boys From Boston’s return-trip home may also be canceled.
We reached out to Live Nation Entertainment to see if the TD Garden Aerosmith shows scheduled for July 17th & 19th were in jeopardy and here’s how they responded:
“We really wish we could help but until we receive official word from the venue and promoters we do not have anything to forward to our fans. Shows will be updated at Ticketmaster.com if they are canceled.”
The Demon of Screamin’ underwent throat surgery in 2006 to correct a ruptured blood vessel. Since then he has required ample vocal rest to avoid further damage to that region of the body.
We’ll keep you updated on Tyler’s condition leading up to the TD Garden shows.
