Mix 104.1 Music Director Mike Mullaney was backstage with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith at the band’s concert last night at the TD Garden. Tyler gave him a sneak preview of the band’s new album Music From Another Dimension with samples of each track, and Mullaney was very impressed with what he heard.
He heard a handful of standout ballads, which he believes you will hear on Mix 104.1 soon. One of the tracks contains a duet with Tyler and Carrie Underwood, and another features Tyler on piano, which he doesn’t do often but does “very well.”
Mullaney believes the new LP is Aerosmith’s best work since 1989′s Pump, which contained the classic “Janie’s Got a Gun.” So it sounds like Aerosmith are back and as good as they’ve sounded in decades!
