Boston Reacts to Mumford & Sons’ New Single “I Will Wait” on Twitter

Tuesday afternoon, Mumford & Sons premiered the first taste of their new album Babel, “I Will Wait.” Mix 104.1 premiered the song in the U.S., and the reaction from fans in Boston has been largely positive.

The band just played two New England tour dates, in Portland and Providence, and will likely make their live return to Boston when the new album comes out on September 25. But for now, all we have is the new single.

While some fans had weak or lukewarm reactions, many expressed elation and excitement over “I Will Wait” and its continuation of the pure folk-rock sound that made them the surprise breakout band of last year. Greater Boston reacts in the 20 tweets below.
