So this one starts out rough, but has a great ending. A family in San Jose, California was robbed on Monday and thieves took thousands of dollars worth of items. But that wasn’t what the family cared the most about. They also took their 6-month-old puppy.
10-year-old Marissa Mabanag offered everything in her piggy bank to anyone who could return her shih-tzu/yorkie mix, named Meeko, to her. Word spread in the community, and the reward money made it to $6,000 when Marissa got the news she was waiting for. Her Meeko was found safe & was on his way home!
He was found wandering in a Walmart parking lot 100 miles away from his home. The woman who found Meeko and returned him refused to take Marissa’s piggy bank-but did take the $6K reward money.
YAY for a great ending!!
