Salt’s car had an issue this week, (the clutch went kaput) and to save a little money, Salt decided that instead of getting a rental car, he would walk to work for a week instead.

Because he is Salt, he also decided to use a pedometer to keep track of how many miles he walked this week. Listeners called in to try and guess the distance, and eventually (despite “intern-al” sabotage) one gets close enough to win “A Not So Silent Night” tickets.

No word on whether or not Salt’s long walk through the early morning gloom will continue next week as well.
