To say it’s been a whirlwind year for fun. would be an understatement — their debut album Some Nights is a smash hit, and now they’re up for six GRAMMY nominations. But before they find out their fate on Music’s Biggest Night, they’ll play the Orpheum Theatre in Boston Friday, February 1st.
The show starts at 7pm with doors to open 45 minutes prior at 6:15. Tickets are SOLD OUT, but you can try your luck on StubHub, where there are still plenty left.
As if SNL, a world tour, and half a dozen GRAMMY nominations wasn’t enough, the band was recruited by the White House to play for President Obama’s second inauguration. But as far as the GRAMMYs go, they’ll have some stiff competition. However, they’re not approaching the GRAMMYs with any rivalry in mind.
“We’re not really looking at it like a competition,” Nate explained. “We’re really happy to be nominated, especially in the company of Jack White and Frank Ocean. Everybody in every category is so amazing we’re just not competitive, we’re just happy to be in that company.”
