After eight seasons of the slow-burning romantic roller-coaster between the womanizing Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) and former Canadian teen pop queen Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), How I Met Your Mother will culminate in TV’s most anticipated marriage since David and Donna finally tied the knot on 90210 (the original, people). Following years of Barney’s rampant skirt-chasing and Robin swearing she’d never get married or have kids, the show’s two unlikeliest suspects will exchange vows in what “Future Ted” called “a wedding day that went horribly wrong” towards the end of Season 7 (although show producers swear the couple will indeed make it official).
