Style Files: John Legend Teams Up With Gucci For ‘Summer Love’ Tour

John Legend is going haute couture for his upcoming tour.

The singer announced that the high-end Italian fashion brand Gucci will design the wardrobe for his Summer Love international tour.

The soul singer’s stage look will feature tailored designers by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, who will also dress Legend’s back-up singers and band in the label’s designer duds.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Legend’s sleek wardrobe will feature “suede and leather bomber jackets as well as the label’s signature razor-sharp suits and button-downs.”

Legend’s tour partnership with Gucci comes only a month after Giannini dressed the R&B singer for the recent
Chime For Change charity concert in London.

Giannini, along with Beyonce and actress Salma Hayek, co-founded the charity to support projects improving access to education, health care and justice for women.

Legend’s global Summer Love tour is currently underway making stops in 19 cities worldwide before wrapping up at the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo on Aug. 11.

His North American tour kicks off in New York on Oct. 21 in support of his new album Love In The Future, which features his latest single, “Made To Love” featuring Kimbra.
