If anyone knows anything about the challenges of fluctuating weight, it’s superstar singer and entertainer Christina Aguilera. From appearing small and slender to large, the singer has been the subject of public ridicule, praise and criticism for her body.
Nevertheless, Aguilera seems to take all that is publicly written and spoken about in stride.
The “Beautiful” singer is returning to NBC’s singing competition show, The Voice to resume her mentor duties. At a press event for the show on July 27 she debuted a more toned, svelte body.
Sporting a pink body-hugging dress with nude stilettos, Aguilera was all smiles showcasing her new figure and providing media outlets inside information about the next season of The Voice. She also seemed to keep her makeup to a minimum and her hair was soft and flowing.
US Weekly reports that, according to sources close to the singer, Aguilera is taking a more holistic as well as healthy approach when it comes to her body. With new exercises, the incorporation of energy-packed, vitamin-enriched and nutritious foods, Aguilera is reportedly not just interested in losing weight, but incorporating healthy lifestyle changes that will provide lasting impact for years to come.
The new season of NBC’s The Voice returns Monday, September 23rd. Alongside Aguilera judging singing hopefuls, will be Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, country superstar Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green (who is also returning to his mentor chair on the show).
