Confidence. A sense of humor. A nice smile. These are things that just about anyone would find attractive in someone they seek as a date. But what about those uncommon qualities and perceived imperfections that we find unusually attractive, even when most people don’t?
A popular recent thread on Reddit asked its many male and female users to name qualities that would attract them to prospective dates or partners that wouldn’t commonly be found attractive among the general population. Thousands of upvotes later, the female respondents made their voices heard.
And the results are predictably interesting, to say the least. Here are some qualities that (apparently) hundreds, if not thousands, of women happen to find attractive about men that others may not otherwise find.
1. Thick Eyebrows
So having two big caterpillars on top of your eyes is considered sexy now? At least according to some, yes.
Jacoby Ellsbury is left-handed; we wonder if that has led to success with the ladies over the years…You know, besides the whole thing about being a rich, famous, handsome baseball player.
3. A soft mid-section
What happened to muscles and ripped abs being what women desired in men all along? Many users admitted they like to cuddle up next to a man with a few extra pounds in the middle – probably not to blob levels, but a little extra something to hold onto.
4. Shyness and awkwardness
Men have always heard that women are attracted to confidence. Well, some have also been attracted to shyness as well. Guess the best advice to men in this case is to be yourself and see what happens.
5. Men who look like women
Now this isn’t necessarily men who dress like women, like a drag queen. This is more the baby-faced type who could possibly pass for a woman if you glance at him.
6. “Salt & Pepper” Hair
This isn’t exactly a rare quality to be found attractive, but salt & pepper hair – that is, a healthy mix of dark and grey-colored follicles – likely projects a distinguished quality that women have liked in men. Maybe that’s George Clooney’s secret.
