In an interview with The Guardian, Beyoncé shared where the line “got me looking so crazy right now” came from. “I met Rich Harrison maybe three months before I did the song, and he played me that track. When I heard it, I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s perfect.’ We just couldn’t figure out what to write with it. I was looking crazy with my clothes. And I kept saying, ‘I’m looking crazy right now.’ I wanted to go out and buy Kelly (Rowland) a birthday present but I didn’t want to leave the studio because I was scared that people were going to take pictures of me.”
3. Jay Z wrote his rap in 10 minutes.

During MTV’s Making of the Video documentary, Beyoncé described the story behind the music video for “Crazy In Love.” “[It] celebrates the evolution of a woman. It is about a girl who is at the point of a relationship. She realizes that she is in love, she is doing stuff she would not normally do but she does not care. It does not matter she is just crazy in love.”
