All good things must come to an end, but with three dating shows under its belt, Bachelor Nation never has to wait too long for new drama.
Any true BN member will notice that once a Bachelor or Bachelorette contestant leaves the show, he or she is immediately added to the Bachelor In Paradise promos. After last week’s dramatic ending, neither war veteran Luke Pell nor sales rep Chase McNary showed up in the promos, which makes it pretty obvious that one of them will be next season’s Bachelor. Well, hopefully one. Ugh, don’t get us started on the Kaitlyn/Britt season…
Now that the Bachelorette: Men Tell All episode has aired, we finally have some ambiguous answers about who next season’s bachelor will be. After talking to Luke and Chase, E! News found out that both former contestants have been approached by the show for the job opening.
“It’s a possibility,” Luke said about becoming the next Bachelor. “I definitely would not pass on it!” Despite the mostly serious nature of Luke’s screen time, he’d like to lighten up his character on the next go around, if he has the chance. “Hopefully I would be a fun Bachelor!” he said. “That’s the part of me [people] didn’t get to see on this show. A lot of my stories are so intense and deep about my military background … but I love to have fun.”
Chase, whose name is super pun-worthy — something the writers for the show would eat right up — admits that he’s been contacted about the opportunity, but isn’t sure if the gig would be right fit for him. “The discussions are there,” he said. “But I don’t know — there’s a lot of weight there. There [are] a lot of expectations and I’m not scared of it … but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position.”
“[As the Bachelor] you’re put in the microscope of America and that’s scary,” he added. “I wasn’t exactly the most open guy about my feelings, and going into being the Bachelor … that’s something I would definitely have to work on.”
Who do you want to be the next Bachelor?
