After telling CBS News that he hasn’t talked to his former Bon Jovi bandmate in three years, Richie Sambora took to social media to congratulate Jon Bon Jovi and David Bryan, Tico Torres, Hugh McDonald, and Phil X on the release of their new single, “This House is Not For Sale.”
Sambora is currently on tour and recording a solo album with fellow musician and girlfriend, Orianthi, and he couldn’t look any happier in the congratulatory video below.
While Bon Jovi didn’t exactly slam his ex bandmate in the interview, he did point out Sambora’s lack of professionalism. “He just didn’t show up for work anymore,” JBJ told CBS News. “And that’s the truth of the matter.” “And, you know, life goes on,” he said. “You know, being in a rock band is not a life sentence… you have other things in your life that you care to do. But it’s okay, because you share your art as long as you choose to share it. You know, you don’t have to do this for a living — you choose to do it for a living.”
Sambora has clearly chosen to continue to share his art, and Jon Bon Jovi says that he can’t wait to hear his new record.
New guitarist Phil X joined in on the lovefest, and thanked Richie Sambora and Orianthi for the kind words as well.
Is there hope for a Sambora-Bon Jovi reunion?
