Why Taylor Swift Probably Won’t Write A Breakup Song About Tom Hiddleston

by Alisha Jackson

Taylor Swift‘s got a long list of ex-lovers, to the point where there’s even a Wikia page about the topic. According to her relationship history, “Forever and Always” was inspired by Joe Jonas, “Back to December” was inspired by Taylor Lautner, “Dear John” is about John Mayer, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is about Jake Gyllenhaal, and various songs from her first album were all written about pre-fame ex-boyfriends.

What did all of these relationships have in common? None of them ended amicably. So far, Tom Hiddleston has been the only ex-boyfriend to exit Taylor Swift’s life in drama-free fashion. Even after tweeting about his respect for Swift, her ex, Calvin Harris, went off the deep end and proceeded to rant about her on social media.

At the Emmy Awards on Sunday, People asked Hiddleston if he and Swift are still friends, to which he replied “”Yes. Yes, we are.” Good move, Loki! Perhaps you’ll be spared from Swift’s next record. We know Calvin won’t!
