Once November 25th hits, some Gilmore Girls “fans” will skip ahead to the fourth episode of A Year In the Life, figure out Amy Sherman Palladino’s final four words for the series, and ruin it for the rest of us.
Unfortunately, spoilers are inevitable, which is why true fans will most likely unplug from social media in Luke Danes fashion, and binge all four episodes in row. Which, according to Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, is how the four-part event should be viewed.
TV Line‘s Michael Ausiello has learned that Lauren and Alexis have both fallen for the Fall episode. In his sit-down interview with the main Gilmore girls, Lauren says that she prefers fall because “the story for Lorelai is about growth, and in an unusual way she grows in that episode.” Without giving any plot points away, Lauren also said that she did something in that episode that she and creator Amy Sherman Palladino had always talked about wanting to do on the show.
Alexis agreed with Lauren’s favorite episode, not just because of the episode itself, but because of the plot leading up to it. “It’s the culmination of all the things that Amy And Dan set up pretty artfully throughout this mini-series, and I just think all the best scenes are in Fall,” she said.
