It’s almost Turkey Day!

From turkey and stuffing, to friends and celebrities, a recent poll by Stop & Shop uncovered all of the popular Thanksgiving Day preferences of New Englanders. Some of these are quite interesting.

In the Northeast, 36% of people prefer a frozen turkey as opposed to 27% opting for a fresh — 25% will go the organic / antibiotic free route. When it comes to popular side dishes stuffing takes the crown. 52% stated it’s their dish of choice, which is higher than the national average at 48%.

If you got the chance to have Thanksgiving with a celebrity, who would you choose? Apparently, Meryl Streep is the most popular around here with 26%…even beating out Taylor Swift at 18%! Somehow only 10% of people chose Tom Brady?! And David Ortiz came in with 7%.

“Almost half of those in the Northeast (48%) say their favorite part of Thanksgiving is spending time with family and friends, 26% say its eating and drinking, 10% report relaxing, 7% say its watching sports, 5% report preparing for black Friday shopping and 3% say volunteering.”
