Taylor Swift‘s “22” and Los Del Rio’s “Macarena” have something way more important in common than just being catchy. Apparently, both songs could also save your life. Or the life of someone you’re about to perform CPR on.
According to Billboard, performing CPR to songs with about 104 BMP (beats per measure) could help save lives. “22” and “Macarena” fall into this category, along with a song that you may have forgotten about until now.
Remember that show S Club 7 in Miami? Next time someone gives you grief for having watched it, tell them to thank you for potentially saving their life in the future. Scientists have discovered that syncing up the television series’ theme song, “S Club Party,” to your chest compressions can also increase the chances of a person’s survival.
Another fun song on the list is the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive.”
Think they planned it?
